对编辑拒稿信的回复－秀秀偶的英文

一篇稿件，投到国外，接近三年时间的审稿，期间有5位审稿人参与审稿，三轮的重大修改，终于被毙掉了。以下是我论文被毙后给编辑的回信。今天再次看到这封信件，突然感到英文好象写得很不错，恍惚间难以相信是出自我的手笔。呵呵，过路的君子看着给个评价吧。 Dear editor: Thanks for your letter about the decision of my manuscript entitled “×××××××". It is a pity that my manuscript can not be published in the International Journal of ××. However, it is even a greater pity for me that the peer referee process terminated. Though it is rather a long time process, actually, I had been enjoying this process. Your patience with my manuscript and the referees’ great effort strongly impressed upon me. Especially, with the comments of the referees, some new light often shed on me when I re-read my manuscript every several months and this excited me. Also, the comments contained in your decision letter are greatly helpful with the improvement of my manuscript. Based on these comments, I am now busy making another important revision, and that’s why I reply to you after quite a long time. I am confident that the current manuscript is a great improvement from the original one, and obviously, your work and the referees’ effort significantly contributed to this.
