PhD opening on computer simulation in Nanyang Tech Univ (Singapore)

There are a couple of fully funded PhD openings in the group Prof. Ni (http://research.ntu.edu.sg/exper ... px?ST_EMAILID=R.NI), in the school of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering in NTU. The project concerns the computer simulation on self-assembly of colloidal and polymer systems. The purpose of the project is to use computer simulation to design new materials for photonic applications, e.g. photonic crystals, meta materials, as well as biomedical devices, e.g. bio-sensor, bio-diagnosis chip, with close collaborations with experimental groups in Hong Kong, Singapore and Europe. We will offer internationally highly competitive remuneration and a multidisciplinary research environment. The candidate applying for the PhD position should have a bachelor/master degree in a related field by the beginning of the PhD study. The related fields would be physics, chemistry, materials, chemical engineering, (computational) mathematics, etc. The candidates having numerical experience are preferable. |
