文章大修,一个审稿人,7条意见。期刊:Carbohydrate Polymers

文章意见返回要求大修,一个审稿人提出7条意见。第一次投稿,不知道这是什么概念,求大神指点。如下: Reviewer #1: In this manuscript, the author studied the effect of epichlorohydrin on the wet spinning of carrageenan fibers and aimed to achieve a high-performance fiber treated with epoxy chloropropane through a crosslinking reaction. The research results and discussions about the stability and tenacity of three types cross-linked and non-cross-linked fibers are valuable for wet spinning process. But it is insufficient for materials science and characterization of materials performance. And there are some issues as I mentioned in specific comments. So I think this manuscript is not appropriate for publishing in Carbohydrate Polymers due to the following reasons: 1. In page 2 line 39, the author gave three main types of carrageenan, but failed to show on materials (page 5 line 125) which type of carrageenan that was selected in this study. 2. In page 2, Fig.1 showed the principle diagram of crosslinking reaction. It's better to give a illustration about the principle diagram of the crosslinking reaction between carrageenan and epoxy chloropropane. What is the basis of the principle diagram? 3. In page 11 line 266-268, "As the barium ions were dispersed inside and on the surface of the spun fibers, the gelation was accelerated, and the molecular arrangement became increasingly orderly, as shown in Fig.3." It should be shown in Fig.2 not Fig.3. 4. In page 12 line 289-290, "This outcome indicated that ether bond and methylene increased in the cross-linked carrageenan fiber as a result of the crosslinking reaction of epoxy chloropropane and carrageenan molecules." Can be the crosslinking reaction confirmed only by FTIR results? The ether bond and methylene in non-cross-linked fiber (Fig.6c) also increased than carrageenan powder. Why? Please give the explanation. 5. In page 13 the Fig.7, are all the photos under the same scale? Please add the scales. 6. In page 12 line 284, there should be a blank space between "anhydride" and "galactose". 7. The author needs to carefully examine the grammar and expressions of this manuscript.
