[weekly topic]Does your friend get the right to ditch you?

In one episode of "Friends", Joey got a date in the same night he makes plan with Pheoby, so he left a note that explained he cannot make it. Joey thinks it's Ok, but Pheoby is mad. Similar things happen in our daily life: perhaps you close friends, colleages, relatives or roomates make plan with you about having dinner somewhere. An hour before, he or she calls you and said "something" happens that he or she cannot make it. On the one hand, I guess no one like being ditched. On the other hand, considering you might see each other every day, it seems acceptatble if he or she cancel with your to meet a distant friend or do something he or she does not have the opportunity to do every day. On what occasion, do you think it is OK for your friend to ditch you? Of course, causes like family emergency do not count as "ditching". [ Last edited by 00waterh on 2016-3-16 at 19:44 ] |

| I believe that the results of being ditched depend on different people, although no one likes being ditched, but, to be a good friend, we must learn to forgive and trust our friends, only by doing so, we can obtain our best and sincere friendship. So, I think it is normal to have issues with our friends, the important thing is how we deel with these kinds of stuffs. Friends are very important parts of our life, cause we live in a big society, we have to interact and communicate with others, we are not independent elements, so it is really important for us to learn how to bond with others, this skill plays a significant role in our life, sometimes, its effects may outweigh our expertise, knowledge and degree etc. Mastering this skill well, we could have a smooth path through our career. Come on, let us learn how to make friends and maintain friendships in good condition. |
