学院现有九个本科专业（绘画、中国画、书法、雕塑、艺术设计、美术学、建筑、摄影、动画），一个艺术学一级学科硕士授予点（覆盖八个二级学科），一个建筑学二级学科硕士授予点（建筑设计及其理论），一个艺术硕士（MFA）专业学位点，两个博士学位授予点（美术学、设计艺术学）；2003年获准建立艺术学博士后流动站。 学院每年招收中专生（附中）、专科生（成人教育）、本科生、硕士研究生、博士研究生和各类进修生。现有在职教职工534人，在校本科生和研究生3800余名和来自十几个国家的留学生百余名。中央美术学院设有条件完好的教室、专业实验工作间（实验室）、图书馆、美术馆、体育馆、多媒体教室等教学设施。专业实验工作间（实验室）设备齐全，技术含量高，有力地支撑了我院的专业教学和学科建设。 学院从2004年开始试行学分制教学管理和新的教学院历，每年设38个教学周，分三个学期。第一学期20周，主要安排学校及各个专业学院规定的必修课程；第二学期10周，主要安排各专业课程及外出教学课程；第三学期8周，主要由学校安排专业选修课程及公共选修课程，学生可以根据自己的爱好及专业发展需要自主选择跨专业课程学习。 中央美术学院致力于建设造型、设计、建筑、人文等学科群相互支撑、相互影响的现代形态美术教育学科结构，在建构新世纪中国特色的美术教育体系中发挥引领作用。促成代表中国最高标准的教学质量和学术成果，建设国内领先、国际一流的综合性美术学院。以本科教育为基础，注重发展研究生教育，培养创作、研究、教学的高层次人才。面向全国、服务首都、积极参与国际合作与竞争，培养具有民族文化传统修养和国际视野的艺术人才。 |

| The college takes in technical secondary school student (the high pertain to)、Acad.Student (adult education)、undergraduate course student、the student with master's degree or doctor's degree and all kinds of students attends in a advanced studies. | School have carried out a trial of the credit system for teaching and management and new educational calender since 2004 .Each year have 38 weeks of teaching and divide into three semesters. The first semester of 20 weeks is mainly focused on compulsory curriculums of school and various professional college; the second semester of 10 weeks implement professional courses and out-side curriculums; the third term of 8 weeks is full of elective courses and elective public curriculumls by school, students can choose transdisciplinary courses according to their own tastes and each professional development needs |
