A major breakthrough in the zeolite field occurred when a group at ENI synthesized a Ti-containing silicalite, called TS-, and demonstrated its activity, for H2O2-oxidation of olefins, amines and alcohols, hydroxylation of aromatics, and ammoximation of cyclohexanone. The capability of this material, as well as that of its MEL analogue(TS-2), was extended to other important reactions such as functionalization of alkanes to produce alcohols and ketones. The success of these catalysts prompted others to prepare Ti-containing zeolites by isomorphous substitution using TiCl4 in the gas phase, but their catalytic activity was much lower than that of the Ti-Containing samples prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. Since the discovery of TS-1, another medium-pore-size Ti-containing zeolite with a ZSM-48 structure has been synthesized. However, the latter, as well as TS-1 and TS-2, are limited in their catalytic properties to relatively small reactants, which are the only ones able to penetrate in the narrow channels of their structures. It was therefore desirable to expand the potential catalytic applications of these materials by synthesizing large-pore Ti-containing zeolites with Ti in the appropriate coordination state to become active as oxidation catalysts. |

ENI化学的研究组合成了钛硅沸石的并证实其对烯烃/胺/醇的H2O2 的氧化,芳烃羟基化以及环己酮的氧化等反应的活性,这一事件为沸石合成与应用领域的一次重要进展。 这类材料,如具有MEL结构的TS-2沸石,被进一步用于烷烃生产醇/酮等重要反应。受到这类沸石催化剂的成功合成的启迪,一些研究人员利用气相同晶取代的方法后合成了含钛沸石,但是通过取代法合成的含钛沸石的催化活性明显低于水热合成的催化剂。 自从TS-1 合成后,另一种Ti取代的ZSM-48也被合成出来。由于TS-1 与-2的狭窄孔径,只有具有较小尺寸的反应物才能进入孔道反应,因而其催化应用受到限制。因而为了进一步拓展含Ti沸石材料在氧化反应中的应用,需要合成具有较大孔径的/Ti处于骨架适宜位置含Ti沸石材料。 |
