用紫外可见光谱仪测energy gap

问题是用英文表达的，请各位大神不要介意，真心求教，非常感谢！ We know that UV-Vis spectra can be used to estimate the optical band gap for the analyte. The figure in the attachment shows one example of uv-vis spectrum obtained, a peak at around 275 nm is obtained, below are the questions: 1. why the cut-off at higher wavelength is used for the calculation of energy gap? it underestimates or overestimates the energy gap? 2. why not use the wavelength at the peak maximum (275 nm) for the calculation of energy gap? 3. why the absorption increases when the wavelength goes lower to 200 nm? 如果对我的问题有任何疑问或者讨论，随时欢迎，谢谢！ PS：没多少金币，如果能耐心给我解惑，那我就把所剩不多的家当都给你了吧^_^  uv-vis.PNG |
