Nanostructured materials have attracted much attention in both fundamental and applied research areas due to their prominent physical and chemical properties, which are much different from their bulk counterparts. However, the advantages of 15 nanomaterials with special morphology can not be equally transformed into predominant characteristics of nanomaterials based devices because of structure or morphology destroy during the assembly process from material to material-based devices. Constitution of well-designed nanostructures and realization of 20 their applications in upper device have resulted in intensive research for recent years. For example, Huang et al. and Varghese et al. reported the preparation of NiO nanoflakes films on Ni foam using chemical bath deposition technique and plasma assisted oxidation method as anode portion for Li+ ion battery, 25 which show impressive electrochemical performance owing to the designed fine electric contact between active NiO and Ni foam as well as the reserved flake-like morphology of NiO in Li+ ion cell. |
