Job Title: Staff Researcher – Next-generation (lithium-metal and sodium-ion) batteries

Contract duration: 48 months (tenure track position)
Expected hiring date: January 2023
Main Job Duties:
• Perform the R&D activities as planned in the project.
• Collaborate with other academic and industry partners within the consortium on joint R&D.
• Regularly report to supervisor and project leader(s) on R&D progress.
• Publish project results and communicate the results in project/professional meetings.
• Engage in other project dissemination activities.
• Support supervisor oversee the R&D project and engage in master/PhD student supervision.
• Acquire external funding.
Required Qualification: PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Nanotechnology or other related field.
Mandatory requirements:
• Extensive knowledge of battery materials and chemistry, particularly in the next-generation batteries based on lithium metal and sodium-ion chemistries.
• Hands-on experience in battery materials synthesis, characterization and testing, and capability of analyzing performance data.
• Outstanding track-record on batteries materials, preferably on lithium metal batteries or sodium-ion batteries, in the form of scientific publications and/or patents as the leading/corresponding author in the last 3 years.
• Experience with project management and dissemination.
Other preferred qualifications:
• Experience in project coordination.
• Experience in supervision of Master or PhD students.
• Experience in external funding acquisition.
