Description 1 Objectives: • Take responsibilities in a global team in a challenging work environment in the field of Light Duty Diesel exhaust after treatment catalysts design & development area Main Tasks: • Locally lead research, development, and optimization of LDD (Light Duty Diesel) 1st catalyst (DOC, NA-DOC, LNT, etc) for emerging Asia applications. Proactively explore performance enhancement opportunities for LDD components & systems. • Interact and collaborate with global experts and global teams in BASF (Hannover & Iselin R&D) to foster synergy, accelerate innovation, and produce results • Make recommendations for new or modified research projects and provide technical expertise to team members • Prioritize, support, and coordinate all intellectual property initiatives, working closely with internal and external IP council and R&D team • Team up with commercial teams & provide expertise in important platform competitions. • Coach and guide team members to achieve project goals • Take the EHS responsibilities of assigned lab areas o Ensure Zero LTI, occupational disease, loss of containment, and exceeding environmental regulation limit. o Continue effort to strengthen safety and 5S awareness and execution. o Pass RC audit. Requirements: • Education: Above average successfully completed Ph.D. in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering discipline with > 3 years, or M.S. in above fields with at least 7 years industrial experience. • In-depth knowledge about automotive catalyst design and evaluation, expertise in implementing new technologies and advanced raw materials. • Fluent command of both written and spoken English; Excellent mandarin or a second language (German, Japanese, Korean, French, etc.); Target-oriented team player with good communication skills. Description 2 Objectives: • Internationalization of R&D to develop new platforms in areas of hazardous emission reduction, and grow to support and capture fast growing environmental protection business in Asia Pacific • Continue effort to strengthen safety and 5S awareness and execution; Ensure Zero LTI, occupational disease, loss of containment, and exceeding environmental regulation limit Main Tasks: • Performs proactively complex, non-conventional research assignments • Makes plans, designs and implements assigned new projects and fundamental research with a loosely defined idea or problem. • Draw non-obvious conclusions and make recommendations for new or modified research projects. Provides technical leadership and direct team members. • Keep clear documentation about experimental plans and results • Shows enough people skills to coordinate challenging tasks in R&D. • Demonstrate customer focus to meet assigned task to fulfill OEMs' requirements. • Comply with regulations and requirements concerning safety, health and environment. • According to corporate, company and statutory EHS requirements, implement and comply with the relevant safety and environment protection policies and procedures • Support internal and external audit activities Requirements: • Education: Ph. D in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, heterogeneous catalysis and/or inorganic filed will be a plus • Working Experience: M.S. in above fields with 4 years industrial experience • Excellent innovative thinking and research ability; • Good English speaking and writing skills, can make presentation in English; • Excellent mandarin and a second language skill (German, Japanese, Korean, French, etc.) is a plus; • Need to show core competencies of BASF Asia Pacific like striving for achievement, communication and interpersonal understanding and customer focus; • Foster and implement team work [ 来自版块群 上海 ] |
