Graduate Student Vacancies (Three):
Project #1: A research project in geothermal modeling and mechanics will provide the financial
support for two PhD students
Starting time: September 2019
Funding: Tuition fees and living stipends (four years)
Requirement: Undergraduate GPA > 3.7 (or equivalent; 85%); Holding (or will hold) an MSc
degree; Proven publication record (i.e., peer-reviewed journal paper)
Targeted Discipline: Mining Engineering, Rock Mechanics (experimental and numerical
modeling)
Project #2: A research project in mine dust modeling for one PhD student
Starting time: September 2019
Funding: Tuition fees and living stipends (four years)
Requirement: Undergraduate GPA > 3.7 (or equivalent; 85%); Holding (or will hold) an MSc
degree; Proven publication record (i.e., peer-reviewed journal paper)
Targeted Discipline: Mining Engineering, Safety Engineering (Mining focused)
