We currently have positions for PhD students in the field of Li-ion batteries at the Institute for Superconducting & Electronic Materials (ISEM), University of Wollongong (UOW). Candidates are expected to have good research background in silicon-based anodes or NMC-based cathodes. Candidates who have or are pursuing a master¡¯s degree are preferred.
Language Requirements (English waiver may be possible if some individual band scores are a bit lower than 6.0, which depends on the publication track record):
(i) IELTS (Academic): Overall IELTS score of 6.5 and individual band scores of 6.0.
(ii) TOEFL (IBT): Overall band score is 88, individual band (reading 20, others 18).
Scholarships:
Around 26,682 AUD (tax-free) per year.
Besides, CSC-supported PhD candidates or joint program are also welcome.
