Call for Paper (Big Search)
Web search engine, simplifying the acquisition of information and changing the way people allot and get social resources has created innovative business models. However, with the arising of new computing paradigms (such as Internet of Things and social networks), the existing search engine has not satisfied the search requirements of users. Big Search takes multi-media (e.g. texts, audios, videos and sensed data) as query inputs. After correctly understanding users’ search intention, Big Search returns intelligent solution to query users. Obviously, Big Search will heavily simplify the acquisition of information and changing the way people allot and get social resources. However, there are many emerging challenges to construct a Big Search engine, for example, construction and management of knowledge repository, understanding and matching of search intent, security and privacy, etc.
This International workshop provides the growing technical and scientific community presenting the latest developments and bringing researchers and practitioners together. We solicit previously unpublished papers offering novel research contributions in any aspect of the big search. And we welcome contributions related to any aspect of theory, design, implementation, analysis, verification, or empirical evaluation and measurement of the big search. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:
Nature language processing
Knowledge discovery, representations and reasoning
Knowledge retrieval, ranking and sharing
Big data analysis and search
Internet of Thing search
Social networking search
Cross-Media information retrieval;
Audio-video correlation analysis and search
Security and privacy-preserving
