第一章 学而篇(1)
1.子曰：“學而時習之，不亦說乎？有朋自遠方?恚灰鄻泛酰咳瞬恢粦C，不亦君子乎？”
译文一： The Master said, "Is it not pleasant to learn with a constant perseverance and application? Is it not delightful to have friends coming from distant quarters? Is he not a man of complete virtue, who feels no discomposure though men may take no note of him?"
译文二：The whole work and achievement of the learner, first perfecting his knowledge, then attracting by his fame like-minded individuals, and finally complete in himself.

【原文】
子曰①：“学而时习之②，不亦说乎③？有朋自远方来，不亦乐乎？人不知而不愠④，不亦君子乎⑤？”
【今译】
学习知识而能按时练习，不也是很高兴吗？有学友从远方来，不也是很快乐吗？人家不了解我，我并不恼怒，不也是君子吗？”
【注释】
①子：“子”是古代对男子的尊称，即先生、老师，如称孔子、老子、曾子等。一般单用“子”，可作男子的通称。与“尔”、“汝”一样，可译作“你”。《论语》中“子曰”的“子”都是指孔子。孔子（前551—前479），名丘，字仲尼，春秋鲁国陬邑（今山东曲阜东南）人，我国古代伟大的思想家和教育家，儒学的创始人。
②时：在一定时候，按时，在本句中作副词。
③习：练习。
④说（ｙｕè）：通“悦”，高兴，喜悦。下文中的“说”均作“悦”解。
⑤不知：不了解。愠（ｙùｎ）：恼怒、怨恨。怒于心而未发叫“愠”。
⑥君子：《论语》中的“君子”，一般指有道德、有学问、有地位的人。
