Abstract: Similar to Bonferroni mean, Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM) can also reflect the correlation of the aggregated arguments. In this paper, in order to reflect more attention to the individual opinions, we first propose a weighted geometric MSM (WGMSM) and study its various properties, such as reducibility, idempotency, monotonicity, and boundary. Then, we extend WGMSM operator to accommodate the intuitionistic fuzzy environment, and develop an intuitionistic fuzzy WGMSM (IFWGMSM) operator. Finally, based on the IFWGMSM operator, we propose an approach to deal with the correlative multi-criteria decision making. Finally, a practical example is given to illustrate our proposed method. © ICIC International 2015.
