我也是金属凝固方向，首先这里的solutal我们看词根solu就知道是与溶解有关的，Chaos. 1997 Mar;7(1):107-124.
Plume dynamics in quasi-2D turbulent convection.Bizon C1等人这篇文章中主要讲了这个现象，流体力学中称为羽流，文章摘要中有这样一句话：Time sequences of the full concentration fields from experiment and simulation display a large number of solutal plumes that are born in thin concentration boundary layers, merge to form vertical channels, and sometimes split at their tips via a Rayleigh-Taylor instability. 文章摘要中有这样一句话：就是说溶质羽流容易在薄的溶质富集边界层中产生。
所以这句话可以这样翻译，仅供参考：
强制对流消除了溶质羽流，且抑制了该区域溶质富集的波动。
