[求助] 第一次投EST格式问题，向大神请教已有1人参与

第一次投EST好像有些格式问题，想找各位大神请教下我理解的是否正确，感谢感谢~

1.  Please provide a Rationale for consideration by ES&T.  We require that you include a rationale for ES&T publication in the cover letter. Please read the detailed text in the author guidelines regarding research manuscripts, and address the issues discussed therein. You must tell us why you think your manuscript is appropriate for publication in ES&T, particularly with respect to its originality, scientific merit, and environmental importance.

2.  ES&T does not allow the use of a Conclusions or Summary section in research articles.  Please remove this section and integrate your conclusions into the Discussion.

3.  The reference format is incorrect.  ES&T uses a sequential numerical format (1,2,3…).  Titles are required in the reference list.

4.  An author-created Table of Contents graphic (TOC Art) is required in the manuscript.  You may embed the TOC Art in the manuscript or upload it as a manuscript graphic file, labeled TOC Art. Please note that TOC Art may not carry a caption (legend) or a credit.  Do not include a Table of Contents. TOC Art will appear with the online version of the paper next to the abstract, and in the electronic Table of Contents for the issue.

In your cover letter please provide the exact source of all photos and images in the TOC Art.  Use only photos taken by one of the authors.  Do not use any photo or image where a brand name is visible.  Do not use photos of identifiable people.  Do not use photos or images downloaded from the internet.  Do not use photos or images under a Creative Commons license or purchased from a photo site.  The ONLY internet material you may use is photos or images obtained from a U.S. government site.  On the US government site the public domain status of the image must be unambiguous.

You will now find this paper in the "Unsubmitted Manuscripts" queue on your ACS Paragon Plus author home page.  To make the suggested adjustments to your paper, click on that link, locate the paper, and click on the "Continue this submission" link and proceed as necessary.

1 的意思是cover letter 不能从网上找模版吗，还必须全手写啊……我找了个能填空的那种模版……
2 是说要把最后一章结论去掉是吧？
3 是说参考文献必须以插尾注的那种形式插入吗，不能用括号里写作者和年份吗？
4 说摘要图 Please note that TOC Art may not carry a caption (legend) or a credit. 是什么意思啊？
