Postdoctocal Position at City University of Hong Kong

The Project PI, Prof. Dr. Xiang ZHOU at Department of Mathematics, is seeking an extraordinary candidate with expertise in computational mathematics or computational physics. The successful candiate will join the team with the PI and the other faculty in Department of Physcis and Material Sciences, City University of Hong Kong. This is a unique opportunity to develop and work with transformative technology in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.

Relevant areas of experience might include large deviations, rare event sampling, and transition path/state/rate calculation. Knowledge of molecular dynamics and strong programming skills are preferred. The successful candidate will draw on these areas of expertise to develop rare event methodology for molecular simulation. We value creativity and innovation, and we look for intellectually curious and versatile individuals who are hightly motivated to make original contributions.

Appointments are possible for up to three years, renewable yearly, if performance is satisfactory. The positions are pure research positions and do not carry teaching duties.
