Job Posting For Research Assistant I/II in the Dept. of Microbiology, HKU
|
(A) Research Assistant I (Ref.: 201400433) (B) Research Assistant II (Ref.: 201400435) in the Department of Microbiology, The University of Hong Kong, from as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal. For post (A), applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent. For post (B), applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent. For both posts, experience in molecular biology (including cell culture, molecular cloning, PCR, qPCR, Western Blot, and ELISA) and virology techniques would be an advantage. They should also be sensible, mature, attentive to details, able to multi-task and work in a team, with a strong sense of responsibility. The appointees will work on multi-disciplinary research projects involving primarily human respiratory viruses, including SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, and influenza viruses. The appointees will work under the supervision of Dr. J. Zhou and Professor K.Y. Yuen. For further information about the duties of the posts, please contact Dr. J.
