optics communications返回意见minor revision，但意见我没大看懂。。。求助 已有3人参与

各位大神，小弟最近往op投了篇论文，主要是写一种新型的单光子探测器结构，返回意见很快，只有一个专家意见，他的大致意思是我的仿真做的很好，但结果不能说明这个探测器能够实现单光子探测，最后他写了这么一句： I recommend that the paper be accepted once the authors remove reference to single photon counting. remove reference是啥意思？是让我不要把探测器定位成单光子探测器吗？各位大神以前有没有遇到过类似情况？ |

还有木有大神给点意见，我再把专家质疑的那部分摘录上，大神们给我出出主意应该怎么改啊！ However, the claim that this device is appropriate for single photon detection are not justified. It is true that the authors can see a shift between the dark and illuminated characteristics with ~ single photon input pulses. However, the dark current is comparable to the photocurrent, which will result in excessive dark counts in Geiger mode. In linear mode, the signal to noise ratio is too small. For example, in a typical optical receiver, the dark current of the APD is a few nA while the minimum detectable power for digital transmission is on the order of a few microamperes. If the authors intend to use this device in linear mode, they need to show that the noise will not be greater than that for a standard avalanche photodiode. I recommend that the paper be accepted once the authors remove reference to single photon counting. |
