A fight against Genetically Modified Food

I changed to silent mode for quite sometime and recently a topic from emuch caught my attention. It is about one guy is ready to sue another but the background is the two people had an to and from argument about GM food. And as expected, lot of fans supporting the two guys started a chaos then, and I encountered the quarrel with no choice. I have no mean to start another war here in English Cafe, that once I have several friends in my good memory. But I want to state crystal clear my opinion against GM food. The new technology to modify DNA of food and time seems never enough to proof if it is harmless, and for the risk may carry forward to centuries, I suspect why US government allow enterprise to export GM food to other countries, no responsibility ? if it is harmful, it will not hurt America ? Wrong!! if it is harmful, it will be too late when we find the answer, and if it is harmful, the whole planet will suffer. And I doubt what motivated the people endlessly promoting GM food, I guess it is a matter of money. Can we trust US technology from experts ? When Telfon is first announced seventy years ago, we all said this is the best product, now we knew Telfon will trigger cancer in human body. Nowaday we face H5N1, H7N9...etc, I think we played too naughty already. DNA is not a playground. We are not supposed to sacrifice for experiment of GM food safety test. |

| I am not able to say which is good. The hazard research on food and medicine is always slower than the new food or medicine. This is which I feared. So I perfer to have the tradition food! When the research can prove that the Gene food is quite safe, I will choose it. But really, I don't know who is right between these two parties. |
