Hi Lope, very well suited my situation now.
I was years ago living in Europe where there was plenty of snow. At times I had to clean snow every two to three hours on my drive. In the morning, often I had to dig a path out: 1-1.5m high. I do not know how to upload picture, else I can show how beautiful it is, Often at parking lot you could not find your car - all vars were buried and everyone looked alike and one had to remember roughly where the car was before digging with a shovel. The temperature could easily drop down to -25 deg c but the extreme I personally experienced was -32 deg c when I drove up towards the arctic circle and that was in the morning. The worst daily temperature range I experienced was when we went vacation in Egypt/Canary Islands in mid-winter. When we left it was -20 dec and when we arrived it was 29 dec C. Imagine how we handled the clothing? Well, we drove to the airport in thick jackets but carry some summer clothing in carry-on suitcases. Once we were at the aioport, we took off the thick jackets and put them in the car and changed thinner ones. When we got back, we first send a driver (me) to the parking in thin pullovers in the -20-ish weather to dig out the car (longterm - outdoor) and drive to collect all.
Not because I dislike the snow and ice and low temp, I moved to this sunshine and hot country. Yesterday we had a temperature of 44 deg c (you did not read wrong, that is celsius) and we tried to stay inside and never were out during the day. Without aircon, the bedroom had a temperature of 39 dec c. Today the for cast is 40 dec c so we would hide the same way. Good thing is tomorrow will be 29 deg C only which would feel cold, I guess. That is perhaps the temperature Lope has over there.
Somehow I tend to be more tolerant to heat than coldness now due possibly to the age. |
