[交流] PREDOCTORAL and POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

PREDOCTORAL and POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Hui Feng (lab website: www.bu.edu/zgct) in the Department of
Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics and Cancer Center at the Boston University School of Medicine. Our research analyzes clinical patient samples to discover candidate genes and pathways needed for the initiation and progression of MYC-related tumorigenesis.Subsequently we use zebrafish cancer models to functionally validate the role of these candidate genes in tumorigenesis and use human cancer cell lines to evaluate their therapeutic potentials. The cutting-edge approaches routinely used in the laboratory include: analyses of human cancer
genomic database, zebrafish genetic and functional studies of candidate genes, and genetic and chemical genetic screens. Small molecules and RNAi are used to inactivate the gene of interest to evaluate the therapeutic potentials on multiple MYC-related cancercell lines, such as T-ALL, neuroblastoma, and breast cancer cell lines. We are looking for creative and motivated individuals who can obtain funding from Chinese Government or local Universities to support their living expenses in Boston. All training and courses are free of tuition. The minimal commitment of the training is for two years. Experiences with molecular biology are essential.
