The best/worst Chinese phonetical translations of foreign words in your opinion

It often amuses, sometimes astonishes me about some Chinese translations of foreign words, in particular brands/makes etc. So I am wondering what you'd think as examples of the best translation, and respectively the worst ones. The stress is on phonetical than by meaning, for example we are not interested in the translation of Airbus, which is by meaning. I will start with mine: Best ones: Cocacola, Boeing, Worst: taxi, Symantec, Johnny Walker, ... |

Sea bay restaurant - just genius, I like it, too! What is the translation of J an J and Crest? Now I know J & J - "forcefully having birth", haha, yes that might need products from J & J... Another translation that makes me throw up is "robust", my goodness, how can a whole nation of 1.3 billion people not be able to find a less disgusting one? (I won't say what it is in Chinese - some may wish to find out themselves).  |
