A novel- a great love story.

I recently read a very moving novel, named coqquettish red. Poeple in the novel: A, male, a reporter of a newspaper working in Guangdong province. B female, A's girl friend, they graduate from the same university in the same year. C male, A's colleague D male E Male, a leader in a coutryside in Dongguan, Guangdong province. The story is like this: A meet B at a jobhunting fair when they are seniors, they share B's umbrella when it suddenly begin to rain. They soon fall in love. B tells A that her hometown is in Hunan province, but, before the beginning of every vacation, she is never hurrry to buy ticket to returning home, which all the students from other province are busy with. That winter vacation, A and B go to A's hometown to meet A's parents. They love each other very much, A wants to marry B and gets the approval of his parents of their would-be wedding. It seems although A loves B very much, and is eager to marry B, B seems a little hesitating, and she is not really very happy. In A's hoemtown, B is warmly accepted by A's parents and other families. B also begin to learn how to fry fish with the help of her would-be mother-in-law. Before going to bed, A's mother tell her arrangement of sleeping, B will share the same bed room with A's sister. B declines, she says she is used to sleeping with A. A's families are very happy about this. A's mother gives B her ring, which is given to her by A's grandmother. This ring is passed to daughter-in-laws of this family generation after generation. However, soon B gets sick, because she is not used to the cold condition in the rural area, she has a fever. A's parents become very anxious about B's condition. His father tries to catch fish from a frozen river, and makes soup with the fish. On the third or forth day, B answers a call outdoors, this conversation lasts a long time. After this call, B makes a decision of leaving, her excuse is that it is too cold there. For the first time in their relationship, Then, B leaves A's hometown. On her way, B called A's family, and apologizes for her not taking the ring, because she is in a hurry. Soon after A comes back from his hometown, they meets again. That is the last time A meets B. That day, A tries to check B's cell phone when B is still asleep. A nearly makes it, he sees a cell phone number of xxxxx0667. At the last second, B wakes up and takes her cell phone away. Then, A can not reach her any more. B's cell phone number does not work any more. B never tells A her personal information, he even does not know where she lives. It is really difficult for such a person like A. A works as a reporter for a local newspaer. He is very sad, and tries every way to reach B. A can not forget B, the only perons in his dream is B, and the red color, or kapox flower, these are all what B likes the most. For many times during their relationship, B tells A that she is writing a novel, she says it is difficult to choose a name of her novel. Later, she chooses coqquettish red as the name. She says she likes the color. She really likes the color, even her underwears are red. B tells A that, in her novel, a girl leaves her lover in the falling kapox flowers, with her handbag, and turn around the corner at cross of streets, until she can not be seen. When A returns to his office, one day, his friend C asks him to visit a family in the suburban of Dongguang, the daughter of this family commits suicide. It is C's job, but C catches a cold and can not go. A goes to the village by bus. When he gets there, he meets D, the fiance of the girl and also E, the director of the village, who is the uncle of the girl. E tells A that the girl has a brother, but he becomes metally ill after a fever when he is young. Her family is very rich, and her parents want her to manage their enterprises after she graduates from a university. She has a fiance, D. When D knows that B has leukamia, he promises to donate marrow to her. He tells his decision to her. D tells B in the interview, B is so moved to what he will do, B returns home from a faraway place after he calles her. But, D says that B does not love him. When the interview ends, before he leaves, he tells B his telephone number, xxxxx0667, and that his fiancee publishes a novel, named Coqquettish Red. At this time, C calls A, telling him he gets mail of A, it is a book, named Coqquettish Red.  |
