if a girl give up everything to be with his boyfriend, they may end up  tragedy, but if hte boy give up everything to be with the girl, then they will end up a happy life.

Job is different from the career. What the life needs is more than love between the couple. As the tragedy, it will be depend on the individual. Even some couple, they had their own job, not depend on each other, but their marriage ends up by the tragedy. This is my idea only!

It's true that girls are more likely to give up their job and move to the ciimbalance here the boy stays.

I would say it's largely due to a social norm which stresses male's dominance in the society.

Comparatively speaking, fewer girls than boys have a high expectation to their career outcome. Therefore, when girls leave, the cost is not seen as that significant.

The power imbalance still exists when it comes to gender gap. I believe the imbalance is constantly fixed.

Maybe one day, the tendency you mentioned will disappear.

P.S. I don't quite agree that girls are more likely to fall in love, compromise more, or even sacrifice more, even though they think they do.

I agree with the sayings.  Man is more changeable than women when meeting with some emergency like admirer. When they give up their current lives to be living with GF, man needs to give up more things. This makes the cost increase, man have to make this into consideration when they want to change their relationships with there girlfriends.  So if the boy gives up everything to be with the girl, then they will end up with a happy life.
