Research opportunity in Bio Engineering at City University of Hong Kong

We seek research students or research assistants from a variety of backgrounds (mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemistry, and physics) with enthusiasm and motivation for biomedical engineering. Our group is working on interdisciplinary research work between engineering and biology. Some projects are more related to applied science, such as developing portable, diagnostic device for third world country, with the aid from Micro/Nano technology. Also, the integration with biomedical science also enables us to do some fundamental research with more academic impact. For example, we are using micromechanical manipulation to poke the cells and understand why some cells tend to turn right while there is no left-right guidance. It is to provide a deep reasoning of cell's left-right bias and can be used for future tissue engineering. Please see our website for details http://personal.cityu.edu.hk/~thchen/. | I'm a master graduate of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. From September 2006 to March 2013, I have spent almost seven years in the beautiful campus, learning basic theory, studying interdisciplines, struggling for my life and dreams, as well as looking forward to my love.
