Chongqing, the youngest municipality directly under the central government, is the biggest industrial city in southwest China. Air there is severely polluted due to the rapid increasing of automobile and consumption of energy accompanying the economy development, the high-sulfide-coal as the leading economy, and its specified geographical and meteorological surroundings. So far, Chongqing has become one of the mostly polluted metropolises. The polluted air is not only threatens human’s health, in turn, it restrict the economy development. Therefore, clear comprehension of Chongqing’s air pollution trend on a whole, accurate forecasting of the coming weather with necessary warning of extreme weather are required to protect the residents’ health, increasing their awareness of environment protection and control the air pollution.
