[交流] is there anything you have used for more than 10 years?


ten years...
it's neither too long nor too short....
how many "ten years" have you gone through?
is there anything having been with you for more than ten years?
I'd like to share a picture with you...
it's a tooth cup which I bought eleven years ago...


it's not special at all....
I just get used to it....
so I like it...

Yes, I have, but it has left me.

It is a toothbrush, actually it is my first tooth brush.

When I was young, it was not common people brush teeth, especially in my hometown. At that time, my teeth often bled. My father bought a toothbrush and a tube of paste for me. Then, I began brushing my teeth. At that time, I was 14.

It is a white toothbrush, without any decoration on it, as most things at that time.

I brushed, I brushed, I brushed, my teeth with it. Day after day.

I still remember the novel, the floral hoop under the mountain, in which a man used his toothbrush for too long a time, so, only eight bunches of bristles were left on it.

I brushed my teeth with this brush in middle school, in high school, in university, and after my graduation.

That is two years in middle school, three years in high school, four years in university, perhaps three years after my graduation.

Then, one day, the handle broke.

The bristles were all still there.

It happened in the remote southern Xinjiang, in the washroom in our yard. I threw it into the mess outside the room. I still remember there were many dry leaves at the corner outside the room, so my toothbrush would stay with the yellow, brown leaves.

Later, I left Xinjiang, I do not know where my toothbrush went.

This is a good topic but few people think about it.It makes us back to many years ago.
No matter you believe my story or not,I will telll it.There are two old things in my home.Both are beds.One is my parents bed,another is my bed.
My parents's bed is 24 years old,just born in the year my parents married.It's made by wood,there is much beautiful decorative pattern on the border.You must saw that type on the TV or other place.I can remember that there was a piece of glass.Some photos were pressed on the other side.But when I was so young,I was so piquant.One day I took the photos out from another side,but in the moment I got it,my the glass fall down.It was broken.The voice made my mother so worried and so angry.Then,I suffered heavy beating.So,I remember that so deep.Now,my family is richer than hat time.Sometimes my parents want to buy a new bed replace it.But each time they give it up finally.Because it's just like a child.It has companied them twenty four years.If you have something like that,you must know that feeling.
Another is my bed.It's younger than my parents'.When I went to school in six,my parents let me sleep along.But that time,my family was so poor.My uncle bought me a bed.I use it until now.To be exactly,I seldom used it since I went to high school.There is much cartoon on the bed which I drrawed it when I was young.Just like my parents,I love it just like a ped.Of course,it works well now.
Just now,my parents said that there is one thing which is more than 100 years old.The special bed for little child.If you are from city,maybe you have never seen it.It was made by my grandmother's grandfather's father.

I have a pocket pc (PPC) for almost ten years.The other day all the stuff on it was erased automatically (because it was low on battery). I rebooted it.And it was up and working.The only problem is I can't transfer any files from my computer to my ppc. Guess what? The software on this little machine is too old. There isn't any sync software out there for it anymore. You see, pretty much I can't do anything about it.

When I see this question, I relapse into silence at once. Maybe it is truly a challenge for me to find out one thing I have used for more than 10 years during the past 22 years. The declines in memory and the ability to process information quickly with age, can be the reason why it seems much harder to know what I have used for that long time.
    Maybe ambitions is the answer. When I was just a little boy, some relatives asked me what is my dream or what kind of people do you want to be, I always replied that I feel like being a scientist.
    It is highlight for me to look back upon things, which make me know what I want and what I should I do. What is more, thanks to this question, my life direction is much more clearly than ever before as well, I think I will make full use of the ambitious and keep it lighting the road ahead.

Well，it's really hard for me to find a thing around me for more than 10 years. I doubt how could a person keep a single item for that long time without getting tired of it or damaging it? I was once been called as ‘Diablo’ since I always destroyed things when I was young. I can still remember my friend's frustrating face when I damaged his brand-new watch in about 5 minutes.
I decided to ask my parents if they have take care of my goods for more than 10 years on my behalf before I gave up answering this topic. It is amazing for me to hear the results. They have looked after numerous things for me, such as the erasers that I collected during my primary school time, all the textbooks that I used, my handmade greeting cards for them, tiny clothes that I used to wear on, photos that taken in different periods, and so on. They even told me that they kept my first teeth in a cute box. I was shocked when I first heard about it. However, I felt sweet now when I thought all these things through. It will never be too much for my parents to love me, and neither will I.
Wish all my friends have such unconditional love and support

Of course there are a couple of things I've used for more than 10yrs,but one of'em I really should mention here,that's my desk.
I still remember that we had decorated our house for the first time about 14yrs ago,and I was too excited for having a whole new desk and chair for my own after the decoration,and I put all my stuff in the desk very carefully,it was like my own little world...I've been used it for such a long time,and I really had so many great memories about it,cuz I cried and loughed with my dear sis while we studied together at that times,and my desk was just like a witness who has watched all my feelings for everything during my adolescence,well,um,I still keep it at home now even if I'm far away from home.
