Balance is what nature calls. In mother land, people want male offspring to carry on their family line, as well as feeding them when they grow old.
But, the fact is, if a couple's old time is guaranteed only if they have male desendent, why there are many tragedies that the young do not do so....
And, even if the younger generation are very good to them, they need to work durying day time, which leaving the old at home, alone.
The more the old want from the young, the more disappointments they will get.
To sum up by using one Chiese old saying, when people get old, their energy is getting weak, and they should satisfy themselve instead of desire too much.

the above is too far away from the topic here, but it's just an individual wanna say ^ ^.
anyway, the incidence of the couple is really low from the principle of nature rule. i am not sure if these children's education would be a problem for the parents, since mainland's couple may suffer.
