Visiting Students or Scholars Position at Texas State University-San Marcos
We just started our new lab at Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas State University-San Marcos, which is a state university located in San Marcos, Texas, United States. The city is located between Austin and San Antonio. Our research focuses on supramolecular chemistry and supramolecular polymers. We currently have two postdoc and one undergraduate working in the lab. Our lab is equipped with the most state-of-the-art mass spectrometers, including Bruker MALDI-TOF/TOF and Waters Synapt G2 Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometer, for supramolecules characterization. The PI firstly applied ion mobility mass spectrometry into supramolecular characterization. In recent three years, this powerful method generated 7 JACS, 1 Angew Chem, 3 Chem Eur. J, 3 Chem Commun. We really need visiting students or scholars specializing in organic chemistry, synthesis, materials science to advance our research. The PI’s lab can pay extra $5000 to $8000 if visiting students or scholars have financial support.
