Which city is the best tourism destination in your eyes?

Touring is already a part of our life now. So, often, we will go to another city or place to visit the landscape or enjoying the buildings or local foods there. However, too often, we are conftonted with unfair things, such as extremely expensive food as those met in Sanya, or bad local residents or tourism guides as those in Hong Kong or Shaanxi. So, it is better that we choose a friendly city when we plan for a tour. Thus, the experience of people who have ever been there is very valuable. Sorry that I can not outline many cities. It is better that you tell other worms why do you like that city, and even better that you can share some of your experience there. Thank you!   The pity is that, until now, nobody chose Ninggo, Yinchuan and Urumqi. I think, Ningbo is a beautiful city, with so many rivers, southern China-style buildings, it is the second largest city in Zhejiang Province, while Zhejiang has one of the best economy in China. Ningbo has a long history, it contributed much to the culture of China. Many famous scholars were born and grew up in this city. Yinchuan, is the capital of Ningxia, it lies beside the Yellow River. People there are mainly Hui ethnic group. This is much different from other cities. Although Hui people speak Chinese, their tradition is different from the Han Chinese. Food there is one purpose why people want to visit this city. Another reason is the cultue. Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, I think, is one of the cities most Chinese from east and south should visit. In this city, you may fee the culture diversity of China. Different language, different food, different buildings, and sweet fruits, different climate. You can see the ice mountains dozens of kilometers away from the city. In summer, it is not very hot, while winter is long and cold. Also, Urumqi is a beautiful city.  [ Last edited by winter_north on 2013-6-6 at 21:40 ] |

I put a choice here first. I like the city of Nanjing, people there are friendly, and there are many places in Nanjing that deserve your visiting, such as the Moseleum of Zhongshan, the old President's Mansion (or other names, you know, it is Zongtongfu in Chinese), and the old buildings along West Beijing Road from the Guomindang era.  |
