Dear friends, I am assigned to chair a faculty search which has just begun. The ad is attached. It will appear in major magazines and online sources in a month or so. Please feel free to share it with your colleagues who may be interested in this position. Last year we hired one computational biophysicist (Feng Ding, PhD: Boston; Postdoc: UNC Chapel Hill) and an atomic physicist (Joan Marler, PhD: UCSD; Postdoc: Northwestern) at the assistant professor level, among a pool of 251 applicants. We expect a similarly competitive field this year.
