众所周知，超高分子量聚乙烯作为人工关节软骨（关节臼）材料，与金属或陶瓷人工关节头组合成目前临床普遍采用的人工关节。然而，临床实践显示，人造关节有效工作年限为10至15年。长期使用过程中产生的聚乙烯磨屑会引起骨骼发炎，发生无菌性松动和假体脱落等问题，从而需要更换新的人造关节。再次更换人工关节的手术费用和失败率比首次更换高很多，导致经济损失，并对患者身体造成伤害。
Yan等人为增强医用超高分子量聚乙烯的耐磨性能，采用纳米粒子增强复合材料技术，充分利用新型二维纳米材料石墨烯的高强度、高模量、高硬度和低摩擦系数的突出特点，提高了石墨烯/UHMWPE复合材料摩擦磨损性能；同时，他们研究了石墨烯增强体在聚合物基复合材料摩擦过程中的组分、结构与性能的演变规律以及石墨烯的润滑机理和化学物理变化。

Original PaperTribological Behavior of UHMWPE Reinforced with Graphene Oxide Nanosheets

In this article, a series of graphene oxide (GO)/ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) composites are successfullyfabricated through an optimized toluene-assisted mixing followed by hot-pressing. The mechanical and tribological propertiesof pure UHMWPE and the GO/UHMWPE composites are investigated using a micro-hardness tester and a high speed reciprocatingfriction testing machine. Also, the wear surfaces of GO/UHMWPE composites are observed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM),to analyze the tribological behavior of the GO/UHMWPE composites. The results show that, when the content of GO nanosheetsis up to 1.0 wt%, both the hardness and wear resistance of the composites are improved significantly, while the friction coefficientincreases lightly. After adding GO, the tribological behavior of the GO/UHMWPE composites transforms from fatigue wear toabrasive wear associated with the generation of a transfer layer on the contact surface, which efficiently reduced the wearrate of the GO/UHMWPE composites.石墨烯的应用之神奇实在让人捉摸不透！！！
