各位好，我投了optics communications 一篇论文，with edtior 已经一个月了，我给编辑发了一个邮件， 内容如下： Dear Chief editor ****, I’m sorry for disturbing you. I submitted my manuscript “********”(manuscript number: ****) on December 7, 2011, but the status of my manuscript has been for 4 weeks as “with editor”. Does “with editor” show the true status of my manuscript ?, I want to know whether our paper has been sent to reviewers. Thank you very much. The status 'with Editor' indicates that the manuscript has been made available to the Editor, but that it has not been sent out for review. This could be due to an unusually large number of submissions, or due to difficulty in finding appropriate reviewers. If your submission did not include suggested reviewers, please suggest five independent expert reviewers for your manuscript plus an active email address for each reviewer. Ensure that your reviewer suggestions are drawn from a wide geographical distribution (several countries). Avoid suggestions of reviewers with a conflict of interest, reviewers that work or recently worked at the same institution as you, have co-authored papers with you in the past four years, or have personal ties with you.
