小虫含泪散币：编辑说我页数超了，我Responses这样抗诉，会不会惹怒编辑。。。求助~~

我的情况是这样的，页数超了，但是我核对后发觉基本没有超：manuscript转化为印刷排版估计就11页，而这个杂志发的文章基本是8-12页的。 详见上一帖子http://muchong.com/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=3865322 这是技术审查编辑的意见， Please note that the length of the manuscript including captions, figures, and tables should not exceed 22 double line-spaced pages. 我实在是版面精简不下来了，以下是我的抗诉回复：  We have tried our best to reduce the length of this manuscript. However, the content of this manuscript is abundant and we find it is difficult to reduce to 22 double line-spaced manuscript pages. We thought that the page requirement in the Guide for Authors, i.e. “Research Papers should not exceed 22 printed pages”, refers to the printed journal pages rather than the manuscript pages. The printed journal pages are much less than the corresponding manuscript pages. Besides, the word count of this manuscript including captions, figures, tables and references is about 8000, which is almost equal to the word count of some recent published papers with 9 or 10 printed journal pages. Hence we believe that this manuscript will not exceed 10 printed journal pages and the number of pages will not be an obstacle to publish this manuscript.
