[交流] WHO ARE YOU STUDYING FOR

Days ago a learning sister asked us who we are studying for. You may say you are studying for you parents, you siblings or just yourself.
I told they were always the same. I'm studying for my parents, as well as for myself.
But the she pointed out that I should pick up a priority.
For myself, or my parents?
Maybe it's just the same now for everyone on campus.
But after you have grown up or went out abroad, their distinction appears, she said.
Hardly may I understand this now~~~
Could you offer me your insight into such a seemly negligible question?
She said I would know this one day...

This is one of the most difficult question i've ever heared, because i didn't make it clear until i become a college student. And i'm sure there are at least eight tenths people who do not know the answer when they are young.
I always thought i am studying for my parents when i am in junior high school.They wanted me to do this, to do that......If it is not for them, why did they force me to do all kinds of things?
In senior high school, i changed my mind. I started to think i am studying for my teacher. Every time i made a mistake, they would punish me with hundreds of repeated copy jobs. Several of my classmates were totally crazy.
Later, i found we were studying for ourselves actually. And a lot of examples have already told us it is definitely true. Since our young age and short-sighted experience, we had ridiculous idea before. Fortunately, we won't make that mistake again.
