Abstract: Based on the structure and failure features of a new type of outer mesh and "two teeth difference" planetary gear transmission, a optimize method for the gear's parameters is pointed out avoid of structure failure. The modification coefficients of the gear pairs are obtained through optimization design, so the sliding coefficient for the driving gear, driven gear and planetary gear tending to be equal. The relative slide between gears is reduced, and the working life of the structure is increased greatly. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. (6 refs.)
