The Fe3O4-MWNT for Methylene Blue removal has been discussed in a reference paper: N. Yang, S.min Zhu, D. Zhang, and S. Xu, ¡°Synthesis and properties of magnetic Fe3O4-activated carbon nanocomposite particles for dye removal,¡± Materials Letters, vol. 62, pp. 645-647. However, from what I observe, there does have several improvements from the reference paper to this paper. For example, the saturation magnetization (Ms) was 2.78 emu/g in the reference paper, whereas it is 26.1 emu/g in this paper. The great improvement of this paper is probably due to the preparation of Fe3O4-MWNT. In the reference paper, only +3 Fe (Fe(NO3)3) is used, while the majority +3 Fe might not be reduced to +2 Fe. In this paper, both +3 Fe (FeCl3) and +2 Fe (FeCl2) were used, and the formation of Fe3O4 becomes straightforward.
