受同学之托发个招聘信息 Several positions (Postdoc, bioinformatics research assistant, bioinformatics programmer, PhD studentship in bioinformatics) are available in the Department of Chemistry Pathology of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The candidate's tasks include the implementation of software for the next generation sequencing data analysis including but not limited to ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, Methylation-seq, and whole genome sequencing. Our research projects are tightly integrated with the current research related to the gene regulation in muscle proliferation and differentiation (myogenesis) and molecular diagnosis of disease using next generation sequencing technologies (Trisomy 21 and cancer). The postdoc candidates should demonstrate the ability to do the research and prepare the manuscript independently. For other positions, fresh graduates from bioinformatics, computer science or related are also welcome. The successful candidate will hold a bachelor, master or doctoral degree in informatics, bioinformatics or molecular biology with the experience on programming in compiled languages such as C, C++, or Java and scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
