[交流] 帮忙分析下这个审稿意见~~~ 已有2人参与

一篇论文刚审回,“moderate revise”,具体意见如下:
The subject is reasonable and presents ***(此处省略n个字,都是一些对文章肯定的话).
Nevertheless, I make some suggestions that I feel would improve the quality and significance of the manuscript.

One of the interesting properties for the use in optoelectronic applications is the wide bandgap (3.37 eV) showed by the ZnO.  In their last sentence of section 3.3 (photoluminescence), based on the ref 27 and 28, the authors write: "the lattice defects in the ZnO array induce the increase of carrier concentration, which causes that the Fermi level moves into the conduction band since ZnO is naturally a n-type semiconductor" It would be interesting to perform UV-Visible absorbance experimento to obtain the band gap of this ZnO array or to perform theoretical calculations to characterize the band structure of this material
The author use different units for the energy of emission peaks. The blue shift for the UV peaks is 5 nm (=43 meV) and only of 1nm (=8 meV) for the peak around 438 nm.
这个意见是需要增加数据吗?但加了就超过期刊的限制了。
moderate revise,这种情况需要修改的篇幅大吗?我现在想到的就是增加几个单词,感觉想小修。大家moderate revise的经验是什么?

根据我个人的理解:需要增加氧化锌的紫外可见光吸收数据,并依此求出其能带间隙宽度。就是多放一个图,增加一点解释。至于楼主说的会超过期刊的限制,在我看来,页数一般都是比较灵活的。实在不行,可以将这个图与其他图放在一起。比如在图二的基础上增加图二B(C),也可以在精练一下文字部分。
