[交流] My Cross Stitch

    I must tell you that it's not a waste of time, but a pleasure in life.
    The first one is an accessory which I attached to my backbag. It’s my first work of cross stitch, something worthy of my pride and affection. To be detailed about my Scorpio, it’s a tiny square thing stuffed with cotton inside, thus it feels soft..There is a scorpio on one side and the shape of the constellation along with my signature on the other. The icons of the scorpio are embroidered on the white fabric with blue threads. To be special, I put a coin in it. And I also believe it will bring me luck, so I take it almost everyday.


   My second cross stitch is such a big one, which you can see from the picture I just took, It’s a character in Peking Opera which is the quintessence of Chinese Culture, a Tsing Yi. I began working on it this summer holiday when at home. It seems a huge work since it’s both big and colorful, besides there are many pearls on her hat, which no doubt adds to my labor. Beautiful it is, it’s really a tough job for me. I spent almost half a day working on it, but I have just finished part of it. I suppose it will take me more time to complete. Anyway, I will work on it however it will cost me. Maybe I will have it mounted and put in my new house.

It depends. I spent more than ten days to finish the first one, but it will take quite a few months to have the second one completed.
