Introduction

Intelligent Information Processing is studying on fundamental theory and advanced technology of intelligence and knowledge for information processing. In modern period, computer systems in large-scale, decentralized, and heterogeneous environments are now facing the diverse threats such as viruses and other malware. Security research seeks to make computers safer, more dependable and less vulnerable to those attacks. Many research works have been done in respective field independently such as intelligence science and information security. We look forward to find good point at which two fields can be combined with each other in related field. ISIE 2011/IPTC 2011 (https://www.isie-2011.org and https://www.iptc2011.org) aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners in the world working on intelligence computing, information processing, trust computing, security, privacy, and related issues such as technical, trusted architecture for all emerging devices, services, applications, networks, and systems, and providing a forum for them to present and discuss emerging ideas and trends in this highly challenging research area.
This special issue aims to expose the readership to the latest research results on combined intelligence science and information security applications. It will include a number of related topics, demonstrate pioneer work in this field, investigate the novel solutions and discuss the future trends in this field.

Topics

Submitted papers may focus on architecture construction, algorithm design or hardware implementation. Both review papers and technical papers are expected. The related topics about intelligence and security include but are not limited to:
