It seems to me that several of these essential items - complex and realistic sample matrix, independent validation, selectivity/interference studies - are lacking in the work as it is now presented. Therefore, I ask the authors to consider carefully the important issues and then revise the work so that these expectations are satisfactorily met. As soon as they are able to do this, I would be willing to move ahead with our evaluation of the submission.
