I understand in my own case. I go on studying because I want to be a scientist. As for others who wnat to get a good job for his/her family, I think it would be better to work directly after graducation from college. Maybe they want a master's degree to get a better job with a better salary.

At first, I just want to do something meaningful when I am young. If I can do something new, it would be better, however the reality is alwalys far from what I have thought

I don't know why I continue my study either. My parents think the more I learn, the easier I can find a good job, and the happier they'll be. It's not up to me to choose further learning. But I have to, to live up to their expectation as well as recharge myself to keep pace with the society.
