如何回答？帮忙看一下
2- Page 12, lines 226 to 228:
"The carotenoids and gum produced by the wild-type strain were closely bound together, which led to difficulties in recovery, requiring large amounts of alcohol."
In fact, the pigment produced by the wild-type strain binds to the gum and confers a yellow color to the product. This implies of course the needs to purify properly using additional steps, such as extra amounts of ethanol. In the opinion of this referee, the large amount of alcohol required is mainly associated with the dilution of the fermentation media rather than with the presence of the yellow pigment.
这个意思是说我引用文献不当吗？可是这句话我没引用参考文献啊，是我自己写的，难道审稿人认为这句话和下一句话都是引用的？况且下一句话引用的参考文献也不是说用来dilution of the fermentation media的。是不是要找到参考文献来支持这个说法呢？可貌似也找不到文献来说明这个问题。实在搞不明白，恳请大家帮忙分析一下。谢谢 |

看不懂呢，感觉审稿人是在质疑你这句话，他认为需要大量乙醇的原因在于“the dilution of the fermentation media”，而不是你这句话中所说的“carotenoids ” 和“ gum” 联接太紧密。貌似和你是否引用文献无关。你只用解释一下你这句话因果关系的正确性就行了...不是这个专业的，不太明白...
