With flue-cured tobacco variety Jiyan 9 as the material, the effect of the harvest time on the aroma quality of flue-cured tobacco was studied under different water and fertilizer conditions by field experiment. The results indicated that the conditions of advance harvest (about 60 d of leaf age) with irrigation and suspending harvest (about 70 d of leaf age) without irrigation  either improved the total content of aroma components in flue-cured tabacco leaves and efficiently enhanced the coordination of  aroma components.
