It`s a festival to commemorate the dead ancestors,in the rural areas of China,they will burn the winter coats ,paper money,and other daily things which are necessary for the live people.They express their wish of the dead ancetors to live a better live in the heaven.

maybe it's just a way in which alive person can express their miss to the dead relatives, it's ture that the ghosts could not feel, but i think we should keep our traditions going on...by the way, why this day is called ZHONGYUAN festival?

the day commemorate people who had leave for heaven , bless them have a good life there and  pray them to bless who are alive. in a word it's one sad and serious day .
I  don't  believe there are ghost in our world , but i still do like others at that day just to commemorate something and it's respect of someone
