The International Workshop on Ubiquitous Network Computing 2010 (UNC’10) Indexed by SCI & EI December 6-10, 2010, Hangzhou,China To be held in conjunction with: 2010 IEEE Asia-Pacific Services Computing Conference IMPORTANT NOTICE: l Submission Deadline is Aug 30th. l All accepted papers of the workshop will be published in the IEEE APSCC2010 conference proceedings,IEEE Xplore and indexed by EI. Selected papers will be published in the SCI journal. Please send your contribution to Submission System (https://apscc2010.hdu.edu.cn/myreviewUC/index.php) Scope and Overview Recent advances in ubiquitous computing and Services have paved the way for exciting networks all the time and everywhere. Their ubiquitous infrastructure and infrastructure-less network systems always affect every aspect of our life to the point that they are hidden inside various appliances. There are a lot of natural Algorithms, Systems and Applications outcome from technological advances in ubiquitous networks. For example, ubiquitous real-time image processing based on network, ubiquitous SoC specification based on network, ubiquitous specification and design of systems based on network, distributed computing based on network, dependable computing based on network, pervasive communications based on network, wired/wireless networks, Multimedia Services based on network, and agent technologies based on network, etc. Algorithms, Systems and Applications studies in the following topics are welcome, but not limited to: (1). Hardware based on networks · Control Structures and Microprogramming · Arithmetic and Logic Structures · Input/Output and Data Communications · Performance and Reliability · Special purpose and Application-based System · Performance of Systems · Computer System Implementation (2) Embedded System Technology based on networks · SoC Specification; · Specification and Design of Embedded Systems · Ubiquitous Dependable computing (3) Distributed Network Middleware · Service oriented computing; · Distributed event-based middleware; · Workflow management; · Special domain middleware; · Grid computing; (4) Computer Networks Algorithms, Systems and Applications: · Realtime Image Processing; · Multimedia Services; · Complex information system based on network; · Web application; · Communication Networks (5) Others: · Theory of Computation based on networks · Information Systems based on networks · Computing Methodologies based on networks Paper Preparation and Submission: Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in the topics related to the workshop. Submissions should include abstract, 5-10 keywords, and the e-mail address of the corresponding author and be in PDF format. Each submission must not exceed 12 pages with 10 point font, including tables and figures. Each submission should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the submission be accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the conference to present the work in order that the accepted paper can be put into digital library. Submitting a paper to the workshop means that if the paper is accepted, at least one author should attend the workshop to present the paper. For no-show authors, their papers will be removed from the digital library after the conference and their affiliations will receive a notification. The manuscript should be written in English and follow IEEE two-column format with single-spaced, ten-point font in the text. The maximum manuscript length is eight (8) pages including figures and references. All submitted papers will be refereed by reviewers in terms of correctness, originality, technical strength, significance and quality of presentation. Please send your contribution to Submission System (https://apscc2010.hdu.edu.cn/myreviewUC/index.php) Publications The final version of an accepted paper will be limited to 8 pages in the IEEE proceeding 8.5''x 11'' two-column format. The accepted papers have to be registered and presented at the conference venue, and will be published in proceedings of the APSCC 2010 conference. The proceedings of the workshop program will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press and available online through IEEE Xplore (Indexed by EI). Strong papers will be invited to submit an extended version for publishing in a special issue of Wiley International Journal of Network Management, a SCI indexed journal.
