How could the reaction to the military invasion be “reach back to isolation”? How could it be done? If you are invaded by another country, then there are only two results: you win the war, or you lost the war, that means you lost the country. How could you just “reach back to isolation”? No way. So the question is: Does the word "inroad" in the first English sentence really means "入侵"? If anybody can supply the original article of the English version, we will be more clear about that.
